Comprehensive Health and Rural Development Society (CHARDS) is non profitable, non political, secular and social organization, registered under societies registration act 21, 1860. It was established in 2004 by Mr. S.P. Lall, Mr Shashi B.Prasad  and Mr.Joseph Tirkey.

In this context we & ‘Dr. Lall ‘ used to provide Health Services free of cost to poor, down trodden and marginalized people of rural communities of East Champaran District. At the same time various Awareness Activities were also conducted among them, to make them self sufficient and self reliant.

Seeing the pitiable condition of these helpless and needy people of the remote rural communities of flood prone areas, gradually we became more and more sensitive and compassionate towards them .Finally we few like-minded people decided to form an organization through which we could serve them properly in a well planned and systematic way. Then after CHARDS was registered on 15/12/2006 under societies registration act 21, 1860.
